SERVANT LEADERS ARE DRIVEN BY A SELFLESS HEART

Even though he sat in a Roman prison cell, Paul considered the preaching of the gospel his primary mandate.
Here was a leader who never diverted from the assignment because of the pain he was subjected to. The cause was bigger than the circumstances.
Paul remained selfless as he encouraged everyone who looked up to his leadership. He never sought sympathy from anyone. He instead rallied the forces as though everything was flowing smoothly for him. Such was the demonstration of selflessness.
This was a leader who encouraged others even though he required more encouragement than anyone else. He continued to give more than that which he received. Selfless service was the very core of his leadership.
Great leaders, like Jesus Christ, should think more of towels than titles, more of purpose than power,  more of productivity than perks. Jesus took a bowl of water and a towel and stooped low to wash the feet of his disciples, thereby demonstrating on how the one who desires to be great must be a servant of all.
